Welcome!

The Minnesota Foundation for Responsible Animal Care was established to serve as a voice of reason amid the sometimes confusing rhetoric of animal welfare issues.

We believe strongly in animal welfare. Society has a moral obligation to provide humane treatment for animals and to protect them from suffering.

Animals provide immense benefits to society. With responsible care, animals can meet human needs for food, clothing and medical breakthroughs. These needs are met in ways that respect animal welfare. And they continue without jeopardy to the many industries that are dedicated to humane animal care.

  • To expand the animal industry's knowledge about production and marketing practices.

The Foundation comprises a broad cross-section. The Board includes professionals from many of Minnesota's major animal industries to assure balance and full representation.

We are dedicated to responsible animal care and to presenting an accurate, positive image of our indestry's efforts toward providing humane treatment. With your support, we will be successful!

Here's what we're responsible for:

The Foundation for Responsible Animal Care will carry out its mission by concentrating on three major activities.
